PULSE

Platform for European Medical Support during major emergencies

PULSE was a 30-month project June 2014-October 2016. It carried out a comprehensive study of the procedures, processes and training requirements in the European Health Services (EHS) and developed decision-making tools to help emergency preparedness and response. The PULSE framework was validated by two pilot scenarios (emerging viral disease in Italy) and a mass casualty incident in Cork, Ireland. Trilateral was the Legal, Ethics, Privacy and Policy Issues Officer of the project and led the ethical impact assessment for the project.
