Su Anson is a Senior Research Analyst at Trilateral Research as part of the Applied Research and Innovation team at Trilateral Research.
She leads and contributes to projects and research related to disaster resilience, social media, and standardisation. Her areas of expertise include emergency preparedness, particularly public preparedness, communication, and qualitative research methods.
She is currently the dissemination manager for two European Commission funded projects, INSPEC2T and ResiStand.
Su has over ten years’ experience of working on international research projects conducting desk-based and primary research (interviews, focus groups, surveys) with key stakeholders, including: emergency management practitioners, government officials, the public, and humanitarian actors.
She has conducted research in nine countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Japan, Poland, Sweden, and the UK) gaining a broad experience of cross-cultural research.
Su has published in journals, the popular press and regularly gives presentations at conferences and workshops.
Su was a Researcher at Aston University working on multiple emergency management projects. She holds a PhD in emergency preparedness from Aston University and a B.A. in Marketing.
