Claire Robinson is a Data Protection Adviser at Trilateral Research.
Claire joined Trilateral Research to leverage her extensive, full life-cycle privacy and data protection experience across both the public and private sectors. Having spent the last thirty years working in a range of operational, governance and managerial consulting roles she supports the data protection team to assist clients in all aspects of their legislative compliance. Her particular areas of expertise are Customer Relationship Management (CRM), GDPR compliant websites and the health and education sectors.
Claire maps processes with clients to ensure key privacy controls are embedded at appropriate places, writes and reviews policies for both data protection and information security and recommends actions to ensure gaps are remediated. She adopts a risk-based approach towards the prioritisation of both short and long-term actions for clients to address.
Prior to joining Trilateral, Claire worked for a wide range of organisations in her capacity as an independent consultant. She was the lead consultant for the General Data Protection Regulation project for a major London NHS Trust across three hospitals in the run up to May 2018 and she worked for the University of London in her earlier career.
Claire is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and passed her GDPR Practitioner exam certified by a Middle Temple Barrister. She holds IBITGQ certifications in ITIL, Incident Response, PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 (Lead Implementer). She also features in a Lloyds Insight video ‘The Value of Data’.
Claire studied at the University of Liverpool and graduated with a combined honours degree in Communications and Psychology.
