Trilateral is recruiting for an intern to join our Communications and Marketing team for a short-term assignment based in our London offices.
The successful candidate will be working on two distinct areas:
1) corporate communications to showcase Trilateral’s work and how we apply research to make society a better place
2) project-specific communication and dissemination activities. You will contribute to delivering communications and marketing activity for the company and supporting our researchers to promote their work to maximise the impact of their research.
This will be a great opportunity to build an understanding of contemporary communication and marketing channels for research and industry purposes.
The candidate will develop communication and marketing materials (e.g., websites, social media, blogs, newsletters, etc.) and campaigns and in-depth experience of the work developed within European research project devoted to innovation.
The post-holder will be expected to liaise with staff members and external organisations (project partners and clients across the EU and internationally) to deliver excellent leadership in communication and dissemination activities.
Specific responsibilities include:
Development of communication and dissemination strategies and plans, and corresponding monitoring and management of associated activities.
Generating content for communication and marketing materials (e.g., posters, brochures, press releases, newsletters).
Sourcing ideas, commissioning, writing and editing blogs to raise awareness of the expertise and research developed at Trilateral Research.
Management and content development for social media channels.
Management and content development for websites (using standard content editors such as WordPress).
Candidates should have strong, demonstrable writing skills and preferably will have already published news items, magazine articles and other popular press materials.
A strong interest in science communications and a journalistic approach to research dissemination is a strong advantage.
Experience in research communications and marketing techniques is desirable alongside experience in social media management.
