Research analyst, blockchain technology

Description : Trilateral Research, a London-based enterprise, specialising in research and the provision of strategic, policy and regulatory advice on new technologies, is seeking to engage a Research Analyst in the field of blockchain technology. The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of blockchain technology, enabling them to design and manage a series of 10 workshops, 6 webinars, and two major conferences as part of a two-year EC-funded project. The candidate should bring a multi-disciplinary perspective that links blockchain technology with social science, policy studies and/or science and technology studies.

The post-holder will be expected to liaise with project partners and clients in the UK, across the EU and internationally and to deliver high quality research and project outputs in a collaborative and supportive research-intensive environment in which short and demanding deadlines are frequent.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare reports following each event synthesising the key points from discussions, key findings and recommendations.

  • Researching and writing content for grant proposals and tender submissions.
  • Identifying relevant organisations in the field and liaising with them to build partnerships and expand the reach of the series of events.
  • Performing research tasks related to current projects, writing reports or sections of reports and developing other deliverables as required to fulfil contractual obligations.
  • Carry out empirical research and contribute to the preparation and writing of deliverables.
  • Attending and/or presenting at conferences and workshops, involving travel outside the UK.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidates will have or be near to completing a PhD and have research experience related to blockchain technologies, applications, issues, policies
  • Demonstrated experience in organising workshops and conferences
  • Evidence of high-quality writing
  • Candidates should ideally be based in the UK, Ireland, or Brussels and able to attend periodic team meetings in London
