Business Development Manager – Data Analytics, Public Sector

We provide research, advisory and technology development services to public sector and private organisations.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, dedicated and informed Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing company, supporting us our provision of data analytics in the public sector.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Target new users, map out accounts, offer a first-class service and build long-term lucrative relationships
  • Build quality relationships with existing clients, managing each account effectively in order to maintain sales revenue and identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Lead on, write and present detailed client proposals and tender bids
  • Manage the technical team through the process of problem statement definition and designing viable solutions
  • Provide accurate sales management information: business development plan, opportunity roadmaps, pipeline and revenue forecast
  • Actively contribute to a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of business
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of our customers

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5 years’ experience in partnership/channel sales role business selling to government or Local authorities
  • Technology (software) experience selling analytics (data, location, or mobile) solutions
  • Sales experience in the Smart City sector
  • Strong knowledge of the data analytics industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to develop and communicate a strategic vision to clients and drive consultative sales processes
  • To be prepared to travel
